                            Town Of Haverstraw Airshow Aug. 2011

                            The 2011 Haverstraw Airshow was a huge success!!  Everyone in attendance had a great time!! We are looking forward to next years event and hope you all can make it.

                            Haverstraw Model Aerodrome...Home Of the Hudson Valley Radio Control Club (HVRCC)

                            The Haverstraw Model Aerodrome is located in the Village of West Haverstraw near the Haverstraw Marina, at the site of the former Haverstraw Sanitary Landfill. The flying field boasts a spectacular view of the Hudson River and is directly across from the Haverstraw Bay County Park.

                                     Dan Landis speaks at 2012 AMA Expo

                             Dan Landis has been busy lately. Dan recently moved to Champaigne Illinois to pursue a career in model aviation with Hobbico. According to Dan," My official title is the Marketing Outreach Manager. I will be doing alot of Trade shows as well as demos, working on R and D projects and looking over  new ideas....."  
                              
                             "Also at the AMA Expo this year I was one of the guest speakers, my presentation was titled, How did I get here???  It was about my life and love of aviation. Other speakers were Astronaut Hoot Gibson, and Airshow Pilot Skip Stewart."

                            Bob Moulder's Miles Sparrow Hawk

                            It is an ARF from Horizon designed for glow or gas, converted to electric, with a Himax 6330 motor, Castle Creations ICE 80HV ESC with twp 5000mAh 5S Zippy batteries in series for power. It has a wingspan of 71 inches and weighs about 12-1/2 lbs.
                            Flies very nimble but precise and controllable. It lands a little fast but not terribly fast and does not tip stall easily.
